Dr. Syed Akifuddin is a 2009 passout Postgraduate in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He has completed his Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2014. He is also a member of the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists.
Dr.Akifuddin has been working with Cortical (Immediate Functional Loading) Implantology since 2014. He currently is a Certified Masterclass Immediate Functional Loading Implantologist, and is also a Teacher of Immediate Functional Loading Implantology for the International Implant Foundation.
A Maxillofacial Surgeon by degree, and a lover of Prosthodontics by heart, Dr. Akifuddin has to his credit thousands of successful dental implants and oral rehabilitations. He takes special interest in undertaking and performing complex oral rehabilitations, in challenging situations like atrophic jaws, reconstruction of dental segments in resected jawbones, zygomatic and pterygoid implants, and deals with all his cases on an “extraction to cementation” basis.
Apart from Dental and Facial Implants, the practice of Dr. Akifuddin also includes Facial Trauma Surgery, Orthognathic Surgeries, surgeries for Cysts and Tumors of the jaws, and a wide spectrum of oral surgical procedures.

Professional Experience (CLINICAL)
In practice of Dental Implantology Since 2006.
Have placed more than 4000 conventional dental implants of various systems, in patients of the Employees health scheme of Telangana State , along with all associated implant procedures like sinus lifts, vertical and horizontal ridge augmentations, during 2014-2015
Have trained myself in the science of Basal/Cortical Implantology, which follows the immediate loading protocol, of prosthetic rehabilitation of fully /partially edentulous arches in 72 hrs, and have completed more than 200 full mouth rehabilitation cases, by immediate loading protocol in the last 5 years.
Developed expertise in graftless solutions for the atrophic jaws using pterygoid, tuberopterygoid, and Zygomatic implants.
Experience in prosthetic restoration with implants in Atropic jaw bones (pneumatized maxillae and resorbed mandibles), and facilitating their restoration in 72 hrs.
Experience in treatment planning, designing and placement of 3-d Printed Patient Specific Titanium Implants in facial bone restoration.
Have played a role as Hospital Coordinator for Accreditation process by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals(NABH, India) for Anu`s Dental, being incharge of committees of Quality Control, Infection control, and Patient Safety
